Bher Dheigh Field Station Project Funds

Donation protected
Hello there! My name is Kristi Beisecker, and I'm an artist residing in Amherst, MA. My passion lies in combining evolutionary biology with art, and I hold a B.A. in Art from Moravian University (Class of 2012). Over the past decade, I've honed my skills in marketing, graphic design, and specialty photography.

Throughout my journey, my interests in ancient civilizations and writing have led me to develop a unique system for reinterpreting signs, symbols, and allegories from ancient history. The result of this effort is a fascinating blend of art and science in my artwork. To bring my vision to life, I've assembled a remote team and created a mobile field station, aptly named Bher Dheigh field station, which allows us to take art and science out into the field.

Our goal with Bher Dheigh field station is to provide hands-on accessibility to the environment and facilitate mobile research. However, for this ambitious endeavor, we need your support. We are currently seeking funds to cover various overhead costs associated with being a mobile field station, including accommodations, travel expenses, equipment, and food.

With your generous contributions, we can make this innovative project a reality and continue to explore the intersection of art and science in a whole new way. Your support will not only help the field station but also contribute to the advancement of knowledge and creativity in our world.

Thank you for joining us on this exciting journey, and we can't wait to share our discoveries and artwork with you as we venture into the Pioneer Valley and beyond. Together, we can make a meaningful impact on art, science, and our understanding of ancient history. Let's make a difference!

Current Projects

Bher Dheigh field station is observing the presence of cellular automata in nature through printmaking. It currently conducts three distinguished projects, “Printing the Land “, “MagKnotic ” and “Electrography “.

Gathering scientific media can come in a variety of forms; Bher Dheigh’s is through imaging via a conventional DSLR camera or from microscopy to astrophotography. Worlds beyond ours appear in many different ways, such as the way below.

------

In ancient history glyphs were made to depict certain natural phenomena that explained universal mysteries, through an alternative view of the world knot work such as the Celtic Tree of Life explains the magnetic fields of the earth/planets. This project is an exploration of creating knot work images by visualizing magnetic warps.

Can moths make music? Bher Dheigh is observing the antennae of moths and photographing their many varieties for a project that involves music and the physiology of moths.

Within Bher Dheigh’s mission to rebuild and restore coral reefs, it is taking on synthetically propagating corals in a wet lab to be transplanted to the ocean to restore coral reefs. Coral reefs are a big part of the oceanic ecosystem and home to many marine animals.
