I Can Only Imagine

On February 13th at 7pm about 100 people from the Laramie Girls Softball association went to the Albany County School Board meeting to ask for a letter of support to sanction girls fast pitch softball in Wyoming high schools. This movement is state wide and 3 other school districts have already received support. With a board vote of 4-4 the proposal failed and many dreams were crushed. Why?? They say the main reason is budget! You may watch all the videos on LGS Facebook page to see the specific comments made by board members. Since the denied request we have been overwhelmed with love and support.  So many of you have asked how you can help, and we think that showing the Albany County School board that we are willing to ease the financial burden by fund raising is a great start.  We plan to return to the school board and continue to ask for their support until this dream becomes a reality.  Being able to present them with a pledge of financial support will help our cause immensely.  If you'd like to support our efforts we would be so grateful for any donation you can make.  All funds received will go directly to the costs associated with building this program (equipment, uniforms, coaches, facility fees, etc.).  Thank you for your support!
