TRANSPLANT FUNDRAISER
FOR BETTY HILL GLENN
To some that may not know our mother has been on Dialysis for approximately 12 years due to kidney failure. I'm not sure how many of you know what dialysis consists of but basically what happens is the blood is removed from the body, filtered and pumped back into the body (for her)3 times a week. When you are a dialysis patient you lifestyle changes drastically. Medication increases but your quality of life decreases and common complications are blood clots, extremely lowered blood pressure, breakdown of skin, nausea and fatigue just to name a few. For our mom, dialysis is life or death meaning she can not live without it.
Fortunately, a couple of months ago we met with doctors for the 2nd time around and she has finally been placed on the donor list!!! God is good and sooo faithful!!! Years of everyone praying is paying off & she's finally been given hope to have a better quality & longer life!
Our family is trying to raise money for her to have this transplant surgery. Everything has checked out physically so now we working towards the financial obligation to show for the kidney transplant process to be complete. Once we have raised the money and submitted documents to show that she can fulfill her financial obligation, the phone call can come at anytime and a better life begins! The money raised will help cover her medications (which are EXTREMELY expensive).
The medical doctors in Georgia call and update her on a regular basis now to make sure that she is preparing for the transplant financially and she will have to have proof of funds to show before she can have the surgery so we are kindly asking for donations to help with this process. Any contribution will be greatly appreciated! We will keep everyone updated on this exciting process.
Thank you in advance!
