Betty Slater Medical Fund
Donation protected
On September 30, 2017, Betty Slater was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. A couple of weeks ago, Betty started feeling like she was coming down with something and her bones started aching. She ended up in the hospital because her white blood cell count was critically high. A bone marrow biopsy confirmed that she has Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Betty is undergoing chemotherapy with her husband Rex Slater and her daughters Shaunte Lewis and Nichole Murphy by her side. She is very positive and staying strong.
Betty will be undergoing chemotherapy, possible blood transfusions and a bone marrow transplant during the next 6-12 months. Each round of chemo will be approximately 21 days. The family will be traveling for Betty’s treatments, and will be staying in a hotel for the duration of each treatment. All donations will assist with medical bills, extended hospital stays during treatments and travel expenses.
Thank you for supporting their family during this difficult time. Please keep Betty and her family in your prayers.
