Betty Pristol - House Fire No Insurance
Donation protected
***update***
We have reached our goal and then some! Thank you to everyone for their generosity, and for the calls , txts and emails.
I know some people were uncomfortable donating via Go Fund Me so as of tomorrow Saturday May 1, you will also be able to donate at Grind Burger 212 Guelph St, Georgetown.
We would also like to send a huge Thank you to Barb, Gerda and Nadine from North Halton Kitten Rescue for working tirelessly to locate and save Betty’s other 2 cats! These ladies came right away when we asked them for help and it was so much appreciated. http://www.nhkr.ca/
Bettys home caught fire at 40 Baylor Cres, Georgetown on April 16th, 2021...
Betty is an 80 year old senior living on a pension, she does not have any family. Unfortunately she did not have house insurance, it was too expensive for her and she could not afford it.
We are working to have her house gutted so we can sell the shell for her and hopefully get her into something affordable.
She is temporarily living in a seniors facility with her 2 dogs. Her cat died in the fire.
Anything you can give would be much appreciated, she has lost mostly everything in the fire.
She needs to start over and it is already tight living on a pension.
