Better Future For Rainbow Room Children

Donation protected
Rainbow Room children are a group of truly unique and beautiful kids. Kids who bring light into our lives with every smile, laughter, or funny thing they do or say. There never is a dull moment when being with and around them. These children are a remarkable group of little humans who face daily challenges with grace, good humour and fun. Yet, despite all the difficulties they have, they still are the most caring, cheerful and kind children.
Autism, Fragile X and other neurological conditions affect some of the areas of their development like social interaction, social communication, and social imagination. In addition, these conditions affect their ability to develop self-care and self-help skills. Due to the difficulties that come from it, all the children require a lot of school support and the right environment to learn, grow, and reach their full potential.
The Rainbow Room teacher and the staff who work alongside her are exceptional and dedicated to our children. Over the past two years, the Rainbow Room staff have made a massive difference in our children's lives. Before, our kids struggled in the mainstream system tremendously. Since coming to the Rainbow Room, the children have progressed immensely, and they have been much happier and more content. They feel safe, cared for and respected.
However, for the Rainbow Room staff to continue their fantastic work of ensuring our kids' needs are met and our kids are offered equal opportunities neurotypical kids get, they need our help!
There are seven children with different complex needs and different ages (from 5 to 11) in one tiny classroom. The number of children who require the unique learning setting that Rainbow Room offers is drastically growing, but unfortunately, the size of the space they use is not. They desperately need a more extensive classroom where they could each have a space to learn. The area where there would be enough room for the small kitchen unit. A unit that would be used to teach them life skills they need to lead as independent and happy life as they can. At this moment in time, the size of the room is genuinely limiting the level of support our kids can get. The support they need, deserve, and like every child, are entitled to. Aside from the more extensive classroom, they also need learning resources designed for special education. They need money for the appropriate transport which would be used to take children on trips during which they would be able to learn how to function in their local community.
There are many things Rainbow Room kids need. But unfortunately, the local authorities are not providing much financial support. The limited support is the reason why we, the parents, decided to do everything we can to raise the funds our children desperately need, as we want to see them thrive and be able to lead the best possible lives. So please unite with us in helping our beautiful Rainbow Room children.
By donating to the Rainbow Room children from Andover Primary School in Brechin, you are changing their lives for the better. You are making a direct impact on their education and daily life.
