Bette Davis Eyes

Bette Davis was found in Novato, alone, on the side of the road, during the morning rush hour.  She is a sweet kitten, born with a condition called Eyelid Agenesis which makes it impossible for her to blink.

Without surgery her eyes will become irritated, scratched, can dry up, and eventually stop functioning, causing blindness.

The surgery, performed by an Opthamologist, involves removing tissue from the cat’s cheek and lips and transplanting it as an eyelid.  I've been told this is not uncommon, but it is expensive. The quotes all start around $3,000.  

Bette Davis will be euthanized without this surgery.  The Humane Society needs an answer by December 3rd.
