After being in severe abdominal pain and bedridden at home in Washington for months, she was finally convinced by family that it was time to seek medical help. The Dr. found three large tumors in her abdomen and suspects one on her brain. Because her condition had gone undiagnosed for so long, it is the Dr.'s opinion that at this point the best option for her is to forego a dangerous operation and to simply make her comfortable until she passes.
She is currently in St. Anthony's hopital in Gig Harbor, Washington and we have all been faithfully visiting her every day. Her prognosis is that she will pass within a week or two. She is enjoying hearing from and receiving visits from her friends and family. If you would like to hear more about Betsy's condition with possibility of sending a message to her please reach out to
Paul Reichard at (253) [phone redacted]. If you would like to send flowers, please send to room 322.
Because of her prolonged end-of-life stay at the hospital, we expect to incur an insurmountable amount of medical fees. If you feel able and willing to help with this matter please make a donation. We would appreciate any help and are thankful for your prayers and thoughts during this impossibly sad situation.
Grace be with you all,
