Beth’s Clean Water Fundraiser N.C. Stop Genx

Tax deductible

My name is Beth, I’m a mom and wife and live in Wilmington, North Carolina. I learned of our Genx crisis the day it hit the Star News paper like everyone else, and that’s when my activism for our communities started. That day I started our community nonprofit organization, “North Carolina Stop Genx in our water.”
We are a bipartisan group, that works for the people. Every email, message or phone call I received I bring that to all of the meetings, to represent you, our community.

Last year Chemours, DEQ and Cape Fear River Watch signed an Consent Order that gave bottled water and Reverse Osmosis filters to the residents near the Chemours facility. The residents downstream who are equally poisoned were left out. Our organization was able to obtain a small grant from Hydroviv for filter for low income residents back in August, but those filters are long gone.

That is why we have set up this Go Fund Me Page. We hope that those with the means to donate can, and in turn we can purchase Reverse Osmosis filters for residents in the downstream communities.
Our organization North Carolina Stop Genx in our water is still searching for grants for filters, in the meantime, any donation would be greatly appreciated.

We have again partnered with Hydroviv.

Socially-Responsible Corporate Partner Background
Hydroviv was Founded by a Ph.D. Chemist as a charitable response to the Flint Lead Crisis in 2015. Hydroviv was called out by The Chicago Tribune and BBC as the first water filter “company” to develop and donate high-capacity lead removal filters to families & child-centric organizations in Flint. Four years later, Hydroviv now designs & builds custom water filters for people around the US, and makes these products available to the public at a fraction of the cost of comparable systems. Hydroviv recently appeared on ABC’s Shark Tank where Mark Cuban praised Hydroviv’s charitable roots as “doing well by doing good.” For this campaign, Hydroviv has agreed to provide their premium filters at their break-even cost.
If you are a downstream resident and make $50,000 a year or less and need a filter please contact me.
Email me at [email redacted] you’re email address, phone number and address and I will contact you as soon as we receive filters. Please know that this will take some time.

Also, make sure to join North Carolina Stop Genx in our water to learn more about our water contamination.
