Bern Cordell was larger than life. He did more in 72 years than anyone could ever imagine. He touched so many people all over the world and left an impression every where he went.
In 2013 he began the last adventure of his life when he survived aneurism surgery. None of his doctors expected him to survive but they didnt know Bern. Within 6 months he was back at work taking care of his family. We were all so hopeful that he would make a full recovery and be back to the old Bern we all knew and loved. Unfortunately this was not to be. In August of 2016 he was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. He didnt give up though and kept fighting right until the end. His cancer was responding to treatment but he was too weak and he succumbed to a lung infection on June 9, 2017.
He always said the cancer wasnt going to get him and it didn't. We can't believe he's gone and we miss him dearly.
He was the sole provider for him and his wife Carolyn. She cared for him through all of his illness and never batted an eye at any of it. He always knew he couldn't have gotten along without her!
We want to help her with the expenses that have come up and help with some of the loss of income. We are also planning a celebration of his life and want to be able to take his ashes to the places he loved most.
