Berends Family Memorial Fund

On the afternoon of Saturday August 12, 2017 Dirk (DJ) Berends lost his life unexpectedly in an automobile collision.  DJ grew up in Yakima, WA where he attended Davis Highschool and was most recently a Mechanic at MT Equipment.  He was a hardworking, only loving son of John and Tedi Berends.  He was a dedicated and devoted family man leaving behind his long time love Michelle Schut and their 3 small children, Shylah 8, Brodi 2 and Sawyer 2 months.  DJ's easy going nature made it easy for him to be a friend to all, and providing for his family was his top priority.  DJ was the sole household provider and it wasn't uncommon for DJ to put in extremely long work weeks to make ends meet. 

As DJ began his family and career John and Tedi were there to support their only child to get ahead and build a happy life.  As like most young families debts were incurred and now the overwhelming funeral expenses and financial obiligations are left to the John Berends family.  

These funds will go towards all funeral expenses and relief of other debts and financial obligations the John Berends family is soley responsible for.

Any contribution that you can make large or small will be emensely appreciated and will help immediatley go to and provide relief for the John Berends family during this extremely difficult time.
