“We Are the Pathfinders Strong”
The goal of the Pathfinders club is to develop leadership skills in young men and women between the ages of 10 and 18. Using a structured curriculum that includes community service, the program seeks to help corps members build their physical, social, intellectual, and spiritual lives.
We are raising funds for our Pathfinder club members to participate in the International Camporee this August 2019. Donations will go towards offsetting travel expenses from Boston to Wisconsin (airfare for the boys and girls), purchase of updated camping equipment, supplies and meals, and ground transportation from Boston to Oshkosh for supplies and equipment.
This Camporee is an event that happens once every five years. On average, over 40,000 Pathfinders from around the globe gather in Oshkosh Wisconsin for a week of Christ-centered activities taught at a level that helps bring the Bible to life for these amazing young people. Additionally, the Pathfinders will participate in camping, outdoor survival training events, drill/drum corps competitions and earning honors (similar to boy/girl scout merit badges).
No amount is too small, and we are kindly asking all former Orion Pathfinders, current or former members of Berea church, friends and family of our corps members to make a one-time donation of $5, $10, or more. Please help us take the financial burden off this trip so that our club leadership can focus on preparing students with the skills necessary to have a fun, fulfilling, and safe experience at the 2019 Camporee!
