Princeton in Latin America Fellowship $s

Donation protected
Hi Everyone!

As a recent college graduate from Wesleyan University I have struggled to find a job that is both inspiring to me and financially viable. I have taken the dive, however, and after being accepted into the Princeton in Latin America Fellowship Program I have finally accepted a position working in the Dominican Republic with an amazing non-profit called Yspaniola.

For the next year I will be working with Yspaniola in their efforts to use education as poverty intervention for many Dominicans and Haitian-Dominicans that suffer from lack of economic, educational, and political access/equality every day. My work will be both direct and organizational, working one-on-one with students, as well as contributing to curriculum development, grant writing, program management, and general support services.

While I am extremely excited about my new job and combining my interests in non-profit development, Latin America, immigration, and education/anti-poverty work, the fellowship stipend covers only basic monthly necessities and many expenses are not covered by the fellowship or by the organization with which I will be working. Things like flights, transportation, visa fees, medical insurance, and trip preparation are all my responsibility, and are proving to be more expensive than imagined!

I would greatly appreciate any and all contributions that you can give to help me fund my next year of non-profit/fellowship work!

Warmly (aka hugs & kisses),

Emma
