Hello Everyone,
As most of you already know, we have recently lost Benson due to a serious of medical issues. About a month ago, Benson had a Hematoma in both of his ears and had to get them drained multiple times. He was also diagnosed with MRSA( a serious staff infection) at the time of the draining. Not only were his ears completely sliced up and filled with stitches but he had a very serious infection that could have taken his life at any minute. Being placed on an extremely strong antibiotic, Benson was facing a long road to recovery having to take 8 pills a day for the next 3 months.
Unfortunately, the antibiotics can take a toll on an animals body and a month later Benson had to be rushed to the emergency room where we had discovered he had cancerous tumors on multiple organs and was experiencing severe internal bleeding. The doctor passed the devastating news that Benson was not a candidate for surgery and would need to be put down:(
Not having much of a choice, we took the dog home and loved him as much as we could on what was to be his final day on earth with us. Chasing snowballs, holding hands, playing at the park, belly rubs and eating as many cookies as he could fit in that precious little tummy. We spent the entire day loving him as much as we possibly could. Later that night we made the very hard decision that it was not worth Benson experiencing any further pain. So, she had the doctor come to the house to put Benson to sleep.
Now as many of you know, Benson was a very very special dog. He had the most incredible demeanor with the kindest soul. Making sure to greet everyone with one of his prized toys and multiple handshakes. The dog didn't have a bad bone in his body and truly loved everyone that crossed his path.
We also know what this dog meant to Danielle. They were quite a duo!!! Kind of like modern day Batman and Robin but with no danger:) These two never left each others side and we know Danielle couldn't make a plan unless Benson was invited. This loss has really hit home and she has had an INCREDIBLY tough 4 weeks and spent a great amount of money to figure out Benson could no longer be with her.
My ask here......we help Danielle relieve some of that financial stress. At a time like this, money should be the last thing on someones mind. Honestly, ANY donation(small or large) would be so greatly appreciated.
We have the best friends and family a person could ask for and I know this will mean a great deal to Danielle. I can't say thank you enough for the support and love that Danielle has gotten this past month.
Thank you everyone in advance for your contributions. You have no idea how much it means to have your support!
