Hey! My name is Bennett Smith, Junior at Auburn University in Alabama and Birmingham Alabama native.
My hard work has finally paid off and I recently qualified for the 2017 United States Freestyle Kayaking Team! I will be traveling to San Juan, Argentina in November to compete in the 2017 ICF World Championships. I cannot describe how excited I am for this event and how long I have had the dream to be on the Men's U.S. Team. It honestly feels like a dream!
Unfortunately, this is a self funded event and the estimated cost is around $6500 to cover my travel, transportation, shipping of equipment, accomodation, and food while there.
All donations are greatly appreciated, no matter the size.
I'm thrilled to represent the state of Alabama and the USA in Argentina this fall!
