Benedict's Challenge: Series of Tragedies

Hello friends. I'm dealing with a series of tragedies all at once and I'm in need of helping hands. On Wednesday, June 16, my beloved mother, Jill Haworth Gambino, passed away (posting of her memory to come). This has been devastating to me, but compounding that has been a series of more tragedies that I've been going through. I lost my job during the pandemic and have been dealing with a major health issue. In January I became homeless and have been living in hotels, relying on unemployment and disability payments. In the past few days, my unemployment payments have been cut off until they re-determine my eligibility based on disability, and my disability payments have been cut off as well as the government is claiming that they've been overpaying me and I now owe the US money. Another immediate need outside of housing is that my car's brakes failed last Friday and I do not have the money to get it fixed. I'm also now dealing with food insecurity as the domino effect of all this has yet to stop. My family has been dealing with hardship as well and they are unable to help me financially. 

On a very positive note, I have some ministry opportunities in the works that will lead me to Los Angeles, CA in 2022. I've also been working on a major creative project (a book) over the last year that will be completed in September. I'm very excited about God's calling on my life and the future. He's putting me through this challenge to test my strength and perseverance and He already knows the outcome. At least for now, though, I have immediate emergency needs and would be so blessed by your support. I'm grateful for the friends who have already helped me, and would be grateful if you all would share this. Most importantly, I'd very much appreciate your prayers. I will get through this. Please be inspired by my challenge - the good that will come of this makes for a pretty amazing story and at least I have something else to write about. Many blessings to you all.
