Benedict John Schmidt Medical Bills

Benedict John Schmidt was born in Salina KS, June 19th at 5:30 am, 7 # 4 oz & 20 inches long. He is Trent & Terresa Schmidts fifth child. Benedict was found to have a heart condition 3 hours after birth & was flown to Children's Mercy Hospital (CMH) in Kansas City.

Benedict was diagnosed with Tricuspid Atresia (3 of the 4 heart valves are working) a very rare heart condition. He will require 2 -3 heart surgeries before he turns one. Ideally they want to wait for him to get bigger & stronger before they do his first surgery. They will be monitoring his condition day by day & will require frequent trips to CMH.

All donations will go directly to Benedicts medical care.
The Schmidts were hesitant to do the "gofundme" page but knew that people wanted to help so they felt this was one avenue for friends & family to support them in this difficult time.
