Paradoxes can irritate me. At the moment, it is the tension of needing support but desiring not to harden the hearts of my community around me by constantly asking for things.
Because eventually you will have to say no. And if I continue asking, you will likely continue erecting barriers.
I'm doing FORM. Or going on a FORM journey. They say I'm now a 'FORMee.' Or something. I don't really know. And that's ok. But in order to be involved I primarily need money and prayer support.
In the Bible I see precedent for going to my community and asking for prayer. Please pray for me as I continue to prepare for FORM and while I am actively involved and, honestly, for me in general. I need it.
Oh yeah, I should probably share what I do know of FORM so that you can know too. The concise slogan from the website for FORMFW.com says "FORM is a life-changing year of self-discovery, hearing from God and being trained for a lifetime of living and leading like Jesus." I'm not sure I can explain it any better at the moment because I have yet to finish this step.
And I say step because I think this is what God has given me an opportunity to do and it makes sense.
What does not make sense to me, though, is going about asking everyone I know for money to pay for me to do it.
I left my 'career' nearly 2 years ago and pursued a teacher's license. I completed the program a month ago but in order to do so I went from making over 40k/yr to less thousands than there are months. Which has meant the humbling experience of letting my friends and family aid me. And I realized they never really would have helped if they were not aware of my need. They could not help if I didn't give them a chance.
So I do believe it's acceptable and healthy to communicate where I am and I think this page will accurately do so. And if you decide for whatever reason you would like to partner with me in this, I will be deeply grateful for whatever that partnership entails. I still need help. I probably always will. I probably always do.
I plan to post updates along the way and continue to communicate on my end. Feel free to contact me via text or fb msg if you would like to know more. My next post will probably detail the journey of the past two years more thoroughly. Until then,
