A Bemer for Stetson ~
Stetson Bardfield was born with a rare joint disorder called Arthrogryosis, affecting his shoulders, arms, hands, hips, legs and feet. At the age of 4 he underwent a bilateral knee dis-articulation (amputation of both legs at the knee) in order for him to be able to walk with prosthesis. Stetson was introduced to the world of competitive air rifle by a wounded Marine who competes in the sport. It was an instant fit for him and he has excelled beyond our wildest dreams. Stetson currently trains with USA Shooting Club at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO. Stetson is on track to secure a spot in the 2020 Paralympics representing our great nation. At birth his family was told that he'd never walk, play sports, or do anything that most "normal kids" can do. Their hearts swell with pride at his determination and hard work in making his dreams come true. He is very active in air rifle, swimming, fly fishing, snowboarding and lots more! He takes the dis- out of disability! Stetson takes on his challenges with a smile, and volunteers extensively in our community. Thank you for being a part of making his Paralympic dream a reality! The funds raised will go to secure his own Bemer Physical Vascular Therapy Device. Tokyo 2020 here comes Stetson!
