Donna R Spence Homegoing

Our beloved Donna Spence recently passed away on 10/29/22. Donna was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, and friend who touched the lives of those around her.

She leaves behind her husband, Jessie Spence, two daughters, Tamara and Tamaya

Spence, her father, Reverend Clemmie R Griffin, three sisters, Monica, Rhonda, Joy Griffin, and her niece Olivia Achong, as well as a host of devoted in-laws and supportive family and friends across the US. Superseded in her death are her son, Nehemiah James Spence and her mother, Doris C Griffin.

Donna dedicated her life to Christ in early childhood at Macedonia Baptist Church, in

Arlington, VA. She was a quiet child with a mighty brain like our beloved mother.

A graduate of TJHSST, she earned her degree from George Mason University and received her MS from Argosy University. She received the highest and most prestigious award as a Girl Scout, the Gold Award. As a professional adult, Donna received accolades of blessings from teens she has counseled and their parents over the years.

Donna’s love for Christ led her to establish and lead a God-fearing and strong-worshipping family like herself. Although we know “to be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord” (2 Cor 5:8), we are all devastated by this sudden loss and were unprepared for the cost of a funeral and memorial services. We want to give Donna the memorial she deserves, honor her memory and say our last goodbyes. Therefore, we ask for monetary donations to help cover her funeral and memorial service. Any leftover funds will be held for her daughters college expenses.
