Bells for Saint Anthony of Padua

Donation protected
Dear Friends,

Will you be able to make small sacrifices for the Baby Jesus this season of Christmas?

God the son became an Infant Jesus to share His life and to give His life to with and to you.  The Word made flesh came to save  us.  It is the perfect time to open our hearts when Christ stands at the door and knocks as He promises to come into the life of anyone who opens the door to Him!

Will you be able to donate $10 USD for the Church of God at St. Anthony of Padua Chapel in Hindang, Leyte, Philippines?  Do you remember the place of the first Mass in the Philippines? Yes! It was in Leyte.

St. Anthony of Padua Chapel is legally registered with the Philippine's Security Exchange Commission under CHRISTUS VINCIT, CHRISTUS REGNAT, CHRISTUS IMPERAT INC.

God doesn't demand a fixed amount of money from us but  he wants us to give from the heart.more items for the Chapel such as: devotional candle stand, complete set of vestments for high mass and a piece of land. But this time, we will be asking your help for the bells of St. Anthony.

St. Anthony of Padua Chapel will receive antique church bells from the United States of America.  These bells have not been in used for so many years. They came from different owners and were sent to the Philippines few months ago. There are two crates containing different size of bells. These bells were taken from different states in the USA.  We are trying to preserve and save these priceless bells. There are 9 bells. Our present chapel has an old wooden tower but it is not strong enough to hold these heavy bells. So, we will build a metal tower to hold these bells. They will be ringing to call God's people for the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, to notify everybody during the time of the consecration of the Body and Blood of Our Lord and on major feast days.

The bells have finally arrived these past few days at the Port of Cebu, Philippines. But these bells are still on hold at the Pier of Cebu City, Philippines. In order to get these bells, we need to pay a huge amount of money. Please help us and offer this to the Infant Jesus in this season of Christmas.

To bring these precious bells to St. Anthony of Padua Chapel, we need to pay the Philippine Bureau of Customs for import tax and other fees.

If we fail to get these bells within 15 days, they will be declared as abandoned and will be embargoed. They become  state properties of the Philippine Government.

CARGO ABANDONMENT:

Pursuant to Sec. 1801 of Republic Act No. 7651 of the Tariff and Customs Code, non-filing of entry within 15 calendar days from date of arrival, shall Automatically, by operation of law, render shipment as abandoned cargo; thus, shall be considered government's property to be disposed of on accordance with the provision of the law.

Your donation will be considered as a Christmas gift to the parishioners of St. Anthony of Padua's Chapel.

There are other 4 bells that need to be sent to the Philippines. We will try to gather these bells in the near future and it will take a lot of driving to pick up these bells from different states in the USA. One in Washington, one in Oklahoma, one in Indiana and one in Missouri.

I will send you some pictures when we get these bells. Please see below our Chapel.

Thank you very much and God bless!
