Photo book and hurricane relief

Im Obrianna Lindo, an artistcc in Brooklyn, NY. Earlier in the year 2017, I learned of my family's heritage. I learned that my family is the indigenous people of central America, Taino's, Arawaks, they go by a few names, that many in the world don't recognize. My family comes from the islands of Puerto Rico, Jamaica and Cuba. A part of my self discovery, and building a connection to my heritage and ancestors, I visited Cuba, the first stop on my journey of cultural exploration. In the result of that trip i printed a photo book of what i learned and saw. I am not only raising funds to self publish my Cuba Photography book, to sell, but i Pledge half of the money earned here on go fund me, as well as from every book purchased to organizations that will rebuild and aid the Caribbean, and central American, in the wake of the recent natural disasters that have destroyed, debilitated, and displaced the countries in its path.
I would really appreciate any and all support, even if it is just $1.00. Donating will not only help an independent artist follow her dream of being a traveling published photographer, BUT it will raise awareness and educate people on the islands of central america and the caribbean, as well as help redevelop and rebuild the devestation that has occured from the recent hurricanes and disasters. WHY? because why wouldnt I? If i can, I will, and it is really as simple as that. compassion and empathy are the only reasons for my pledge, it is purely the right thing to do for people in need, and it would be irresponsible to ignore them.
Id like to raise the money as soon as possible to help the people and countries in need as soon as possible. I thank you tremendously for your attention, as well as your support, it is truly invaluable.
Once i have met my goal, i plan on dividing half my proceeds between the organizations i have listed below, as well as sending supplies to my nearest donation center.
