A very special friend, named Becky encouraged me to put this together for my daughter & granddaughter.
Hello Family & Friends. As you know, my granddaughter has a Very Rare Disease called Osteogenesis Imperfecta aka Brittle Bones. She has had over 60 Broken Bones & 11 surgeries & is only 8 years old. Bella-Rose is a beautiful, smart & kind 8 year old. She doesn't consider her "disability " as such. However, the unfortunate part is this disease causes several broken bones at any given time, even just putting on a sock, she broke her tibia.
During the course of this year alone, she has had 2 surgeries & over 10 broken bones. She has walked maybe 20 steps this whole year. As you can imagine, she cannot just have anyone care for her.
My daughter has tried to work Full Time hours, but the Employer's who say they are understanding are only such until the situation presents itself. At which time, my daughter no longer has a job.
The latest surgery Bella-Rose received was a new Rod in her Tibia, because the prior Rod was not growing with her Tibia. This was an extremely long & painful surgery.
Therefore, my daughter had to take care of her, because she was not provided home health care. I helped with some time, but I must work Full Time too.
Bella-Rose is a very happy & beautiful child. Her smile brightens everyone's day! As we have all seen on FB.
In an effort to take care of Bella-Rose my daughter, though not her choice has had to take time away from Full Time work. This is not by choice, but is what a Mother does, because of her love & support for her only child. She is going back to work within the next week or so, as soon as Bella-Rose has been cleared from the doctor to return to school.
During these past months of Bella-Rose's broken bones & surgeries, my daughter has suffered much financially. I have done all I can, but we need help, please.
All donations will go to Bella-Rose's care, medical expenses, & financial help to take care of her.
I will match ALL donations up to a total of $500.
