Belize Scholarship Fund

For five years we have been working along side amazing and hardworking scholarship students in Belize through the Edmonton West Rotary Club and Fun Team Global. These students cannot afford to attend university and aspire to gain an education so they can provide for their families and give back to their communities. Damone and Kirwin are attending Independence Junior College in Environmental Resource Monitoring. These students have been exceptional leaders within their community through coaching soccer, running programs and basketball teams, as well as supporting youth programs which encourage positive behavior and the importance of education.  The price to attend university is around $3,500 per student and with the average wage of $3 Canadian per hour, the cost of post secondary tuition is unattainable for most students in Belize.  We are hoping to provide financial support to allow these students to reach their goals and reward these young leaders who are trying to make a difference within their communities.
