Belinda Carrillo Burial Fund

My family and I established this account in loving memory of Kimberly Belinda Carrillo, who was known to her family as Belinda.
On Sunday August 13, 2017 Belinda was driving back to Waco from El Paso. She was driving eastbound on I-20 and was hit head on by an 18-wheeler going westbound, when the right front tire blewout causing the trailer to jack knife, cross through the median and into the eastbound lanes. Belinda's car was hit, dragged and thrown into a ditch. The front half of the car and the drivers door were torn off, pinning her inside the car. She was removed from the vehicle by her boyfriend, Nathan, who immediately attempted CPR . He could hear gurgling from her lungs due to internal injuries. She also encountered a severe traumatic brain injury leaving the top part of her head exposed. A doctor on site raced to help her but he was not able to revive her. She was taken to Hendrick Health System in Abilene, TX where she was pronounced dead.
Belinda was nothing short of a beautiful and loving person. She could turn strangers into friends and friendships into family members. A very proud mother who cherished and adored her grandchildren (Rylan, age 2; Landon, age 3). She would share pictures of her grandbabies to anyone she could because they had stolen her heart. When given the chance she always found ways to spoil her loved ones. Belinda believed in large celebrations and making every event being a birthday or holiday as big as possible. Anyone who knew her will always remember how much thought and work she put into decorating for every holiday and event. Christmas was by far her favorite holiday of them all. It was a known rule to her children that nothing but Chistmas music was to be played starting November 10th, which just so happened to be her birthday. She enjoyed life and expressed this through her contagious smiles and welcoming disposition. Playing disney music almost every morning just to make sure the day started off right. She touched so many lives through her time as a teachers aid. Both students and faculty loved and appreciated her work ethic and passion. Her dreams of becoming a teacher were inspired by assisting special needs kids throughout her career and the people she met a long the way. She talked about it always and was determined to reach her goal. Having passed 4/5 test to become certified she was so close to achieving that dream.
She is missed and loved by us all, leaving behind her daughter, son and two grandchildren, and the entire Carrillo family. She is forever enshrined in our hearts and memories.
As we continue to prepare for her funeral, we are needing financial assistance. As you may or may not know, my parents are in their 70's, and don't have a source of income anymore. We ask for your continued support in donating to this fund, which will help pay for the transport of Belinda's body back to El Paso, the burial cost, casket, tombstone and police escort.
