Beirut is burning.
An explosion has rocked the city of Beirut with so far 80 dead and 4000 injured on August 4, 2020.
Lebanon is undergoing massive economic and social pressures which have been exacerbated by its crippling government, Covid-19 and now this. An explosion which has destroyed the Port of Beirut and is being compared to Hiroshma.
Many have lost their homes and belongings and yet worse, their loved ones. For those who will be displaced as a result of the explosion require aid. For those who will not be able to foot the medical bill for treatment require aid. For those who have lost all of their belongings will require basic necessities such as food and clothing - they require aid.
All proceeds will be distributed directly to the Lebanese Red Cross. Bulk transfer to be made via Western Union. If you are in a position to donate please do. Don't turn a blind eye to those in need at times of crises.
There is only so much suffering the people of Lebanon can endure. As an Australian born Lebanese with friends and family in Lebanon it is heart breaking to see what is happening and I feel it is a basic human duty to offer support where one can.
