Beginning tool box

Nearly a month ago my employment at my previous employer came to a unexpected and very sudden end. The very next day and every day since I have been looking for work. Recently my situation has been giving me the circling the drain feeling; however on Friday I was given a soft "hey if you get a tool box and set of tools, I'm prepared to offer you a position." I'm in a very difficult situation where I'd love to take this job but feel that I won't be able to put together a set of tools detailed enough to do the work that I would need to be able to do. I'm reaching out in hopes that the world surprises me with giving me the ability to get what I need with nothing but graditude to give in return.
