Hello! We are Emily Bice and Dylan Hancook, recent graduates from the University of Michigan. We are filmmakers with an exciting new project, and we need your help!
Together, we are the writer and director of a new original short film titled "Been Broken" to be filmed in Ann Arbor, Michigan this July. The film is being produced independently with the help of an incredibly talented cast and passionate crew.
Inspired by a true story, our film sets out to explore a nightmare break-up. In "Been Broken," a series of unfortunate car-related events continuously force college seniors Benjamin and Julia together immediately after they've decided to split apart. This 15 minute comedic short film takes a look at the end of a relationship and how hard saying goodbye can be -- for reasons both in and out of our control.
It is a story that we're eager to tell, but we can't do it without your help. Directed and written by Dylan Hancook (Lifematch, Cheater) and Emily Bice (Singled Out), your donation will benefit the filmmakers, actors and crew working on the project.
We're asking for $1,750 to help us cover camera equipment, location rentals, craft services (the people have to eat) and our art department (wardrobe, props, make-up). Furthermore, your donation will assist us with post-production costs including music selection, editing and submissions to film festivals.
With production set for mid-July, our deadline is quickly approaching. Help us make our project a reality (and save Dylan and Emily from breaking the bank -- we're about to be starving artists).
