Becky's Care Fund

Late last month, between the dates of Sept. 23/24 my mom suffered a severe health incident, which included stroke (both a clot and a bleed) and possibly a heart attack. I found her at 3:30pm that Monday on the floor in her bedroom. Upon arriving at the emergency room, an EKG, chest X-ray and Ct scan were performed and I was informed of what had occurred within the boundaries of her physical being. 
This has been such a raw experience that I don't much have words to describe it, and we are not out of the woods yet. None of the hospital staff thought that mom would survive even halfway through the night that Monday, but here we are now nearly 3 weeks later. Mom is proving that she is strong and has a will to live, and despite the odds she is leaning into her faith and believing that she can heal from this trauma. After an 11 day hospital stay, we brought her home to the place where she is most comfortable, and as it stands I have set aside my work life in order to be her full time caregiver.  Any contribution to her fund will be directly influential toward her healing and recovery, and my ability to remain present to her in whatever ways she needs me through this process. My mom is one of the kindest souls, and more generous than anyone I've ever known, so I create this opportunity to give back to her in the hopes that a small portion of the generosity she had spread throughout her lifetime might be returned to her in this hour of need.
