On November 13, 2015, our little girl was born into this world! What a joy she has been. All seemed well until around Decmeber, she developed a droopy eyelid and we noticed her pupil in that eye was smaller than the other eye.
We went to a pediatric ophthalmologist at the Duke Eye Center who confirmed our suspition she has Horner’s Syndrome, sometimes a symptom of neuroblastoma - a common childhood cancer.
On January 31st, we were called into Duke because of some lab work that came back abnormal. Later that day, we received the diagnosis of Neuroblastoma. After some more tests, the Doctos have confirmed that the cancer is in her Liver as well. We will be starting Chemo in the next few days.
Many have asked how they can help and give money to assist with our medical bills. We are undsure of the complete cost over the coming months, but just a quick estimate of what we know we will be facing put us at the $5,000. We would love for you to help in any way you can to assist with our medical and travel expenses for this proceedure.
We will be in the hosptial for around 3 weeks, and will update you as we continue to go through treatment. Continue to keep us in your prayers as we begin Chemo treatments and a possible surgery to come.
