Becca’s Shoulder Reconstruction
My roommate and best friend Becca injured herself in a dirtbike crash. She tore every ligament in her right shoulder resulting in a grade V AC separation which requires reconstructive surgery involving plates, screws, and cadaver ligament. Unfortunately her awful health insurance will not cover any of it. The surgery is nearly $28,000 and they are requiring half up front due to it being considered an “elective” surgery (since it’s not “life or death”). Her family is driving out here from MI to take care of her after surgery. Becca had to take out a loan just for the down payment. The recovery is 8+ weeks in a sling and out of work and about 9 months of no sports or activity involving her shoulder. If you can help in any way it would be appreciated more than you know. Any donation large or small will help tremendously as Becca cannot work and is going to be dealing with a lot of medical bills. If you know Becca you know she always puts a smile on everyone’s face and always does anything to help others in any way possible.
Thanks all and God Bless
