My husband and I have dedicated our energy, money and time to care for animals, to educate proper pet care to the public and promote adoption, including the importance of spaying/neutering all pets.
Having professionally worked with animals for 45 years, my body has paid a toll....My knees and hips need replacements.....I have recently been diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome, that has added unexpected costs to my already exhausted bank account. We have sold all our valuables; living a simple life(no cars, no going out to eat, no spending at all, except necessities.)
All we need is each other....we hold each other in high esteem and focus on how to help as many critters as we can!
Whoever said "love is all you need" hasn't lived with this rare Autoimmune disease....the pain is unbearable, but somehow being near a dog or cat seems to take my mind off the pain. Having already survived a car crashing into me while riding my bike, then being electrocuted during my surgery resulted in a nerve pain disease called RSD/CRPS1 which I have been coping with the last 12 years.....My loving husband was there night and day to encourage me to fight to get back to a career that I love!!
I am asking for help so I can continue to make a difference in the lives of many pets, but also, to return to being physically able to work so I can reclaim my passion for helping all the animals that I possibly can!!
Thank you for your attention and patience, it is very strange to ask for financial help but it is a huge hurdle for us.
