Holly's Medical Fund

Our family has been affected by breast cancer.  I am a 41 year old mom of 3 children - ages 21, 8 and 6.  I never thought I would have to fight cancer especially at this point of my life.  Even though I'm fortunate and lucky to have a great job and medical insurance,  the deductable for my treatment is more than I can afford.  It is a huge burden hanging over my head to cover my hospital bill and I have a couple more surgeries to go through with this year.  In the past, I've raised money for breast cancer fundraisers, but find it difficult to reach out to them for help when I now need it.  I know there thousands of fundraisers out there, but you never know where or how your money is put to real use.  Instead, why not donate to someone you know and know exactly how you can help them directly?

My best advice for women is to take their mammograms seriously and make a point to get examined every year.  The medical experts were'nt kidding!!  It makes all the difference in your outcome and treatment so you can be there for your family many more years to come.  Again I never  thought it would happen to me....
