Beautiful Ava

Beautiful, social, sweet, quirky, energetic, Ava.  Ava is a 9 month old purebred Standard Poodle.  She was returned to the breeder due to being diagnosed with ununited anconeal process on her left front limb.  She faced euthanasia through the breeder due to the cost of surgery being $3900.  We spoke with the breeder and agreed to take her immediately and would figure it out when it came to the surgery.  So happy, loving Ava came into our rescue and has stolen the hearts of everyone that has had the opportunity to meet her.  We moved forward as quickly as possible to get the surgery done so that she can begin to heal and we can start our search for her forever home once healed.  Well the surgery was Wednesday, October 21st, and she is back at the rescue recovering.  It only slowed her down for the first 2 days and now back to bouncing, UGH.  She is doing well even though keeping her calm poses a huge challenge.  The vet is very hopeful that she will have a successful recovery and will not face any issues in the future as her range of motion is still good.  He stated that with the right family, remaining active and at a good weight he sees a very bright future for this love bug.

Well now it is time to pay the vet bill and are asking for some help.  Any little bit would be greatly appreciated.

Please follow Ava's journey on our FB page at Everlasting Hope Animal Rescue and we will also update on here.
