Here is a story about two young boys who lost there mother on 7.1.2017 due to Depression, Domestic Voilence.
Casandra Ann Nobbs passed away on a Saturday night at 11pm on 7.1.2017.  She was alone, sad and was leaving a relationship.  The children on this night where at Casandras parents Richard and Wendy.  She was suffering from depression due to a relationship that was toxic to both her and her children.  She was starting fresh and her only concern was to make sure her babies where safe and not in harms way.  She went to his house and after an argument his last words to her where unspeakable, with all her sadness, Casandra must have went to a dark place and was unable to come back.  She was gone, having taken her own life.  We will never know why, how come or was she so sad that she had no way out but knew if something happened her boys would be safe with her parents.

Imagine at 11.3opm on that Saturday night, her parents asleep, the children asleep and a knock at the door, with two police officers standing there.  They had the heart breaking task of telling two parents, your daughter has been found dead from suicide.  There world had just fell apart in a split second.  Going through there minds was the children and how do you tell Beau aged 7 the next morning your mummy has gone to heaven and for Kadin who just turned one will never be able to ask his mum for advice but will only have photos and videos of her. Casandra was taken to Brisbane by a forensics team ,where we cannot thank the staff at the John Tonge Centre enough for there support through the next few days.  As we all gathered around them to help with there grief, it was about the boys and how best can we help Richard and Wendy who where grandparents but now the soul carers for two little boys.  Richard works as a courier driver and works hard.  Wendy was working fulltime as well but since Casandras death, she has given up work to support and look after the children.  Kadin is only little but no doubt in the future he will need the same help with grief as we are getting Beau now.  Support from the school, counselling for Beau and the family.  Huge adjustments are being made with the home situation, Wendy doing school runs and raising two small children.

I have set this GO FUND ME page up because domestic voilence whether physical or mentally can lead a person to the point of no return.  We saw a happy girl slowly retreat back inside herself over time and she could see the other side.  But it was to late.

We would like to raise funds for a trust fund which I have set up for the two boys and this money will help Richard and Wendy with home improvements such as re configuring there home for two young children, they will need furniture for there rooms, all the things raising children need.  Also with counselling appointments for the family to adjust.  Schooling, there future educations, if they choose to go to college or get an apprenticeship the trust fund will help Richard and Wendy when they need the help with the boys.

They are my family and I have been the family spokes person since Casandras death and if I can help them in a small way to ease there pain, I will do this.  We cannot thank them enough, the Police Services, the Government Services, the Counsellors and all the people who are supporting this family.  The photo of Richard and Wendy with Casandra in the background, and the two little boys who need our help.  I also raised awareness at Casandras funeral with Depression and Suicide information and domestic voilence.  I will continue to raise awareness when ever I can, so  that this may help another family in this situation.

I have dreams, wishes and hopes for the two boys and as a family member, Casandra is truly missed and loved and although people might say "What about the children", "She left those poor little boys" which I have heard, domestic violence can be a very hard thing to leave as I have since learned from counsellors.

I hope this story has at least raised awareness in my plight and any small amount will go along way.

thank you
Linda - Sister to Wendy
