Beat Roberto's Brain Cancer

Roberto Cavallaro is a healthy 23 year old young man who was enjoying life as any 23 year old person would do until the morning of May 8th 2017 when he woke up, experienced a seizure, and within a few days he received the incomprehensible news that he has a large inoperable brain tumor. After waiting for what felt like an eternity he has learned that the tumor is malignant.
The smiling face you see here describes Roberto best. He is warm, friendly, and kind. Those of us who are fortunate enough to work with him every day know him as an easy going kind of guy with a caring and compassionate nature. We see this everyday as Roberto provides care and assistance to patients who are undergoing cancer treatment at our local community Cancer Center. Now, Roberto is beginning his own battle against cancer and he needs our help and support.
The purpose of this campaign is to raise money to cover the cost of medical bills not covered by insurance, costs associated with traveling out of state to Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, Massachusetts to seek a second opinion and consideration for a clinical trial, and to replace income lost as his paid time off will elapse soon.
When talking to Roberto, he says, “I’m not scared”, “I’m going to fight this”, “I just want to get started”. We know Roberto has the courage to fight the battle ahead. Let’s help him channel all his strength and energy on doing just that by easing his mind from the financial burden associated with cancer care. Please, consider helping Roberto in any way you can.
