Beast Race for Carronhill School

Some 16 staff at Carronhill School with help from our sponsors (A&I Taxis, Aberdeen Drilling School and Stoneyview Embroidery) are taking part in the Beast Race on 25 September 2021 in Banchory, to raise funds to develop our school learning environment.
This includes:
Climbing frames in our outdoor learning environment- approx £10,000
Soft play equipment in our school - circa £5000
Cycle track - circa £5000
Our children all have complex additional needs and the equipment that is needed to enhance their learning is substantial in cost.
We will be raising funds to develop our children's sensory experiences in the playground and to enhance opportunities in various indoor sensory environments. This may include creating a cycle path in the grounds where children can explore the grass, trees and terrain as they cycle, buying more playground equipment to fulfil the need to climb, wobble, seesaw and spin.
All this costs a lot of money, especially for children that have different needs.
Our staff are passionate about our children. They often will go the extra mile and this challenge is no exception, with 10KM of mud, water, sweat and tears. They are training hard in their own time and plan to run the Beast Race only to benefit the children. We ask that you help us to help the children.
All money donated (except 2.9% + 25p processing fees as set out by Go Fund Me) will go to this cause. Our sponsors have already paid the necessary admission fees for the event.
