Children's Book about Dog Adoption & Rescue

Hello! My name is Alice Hanh and my dog Bear and I want to make a difference in the world by writing a children's book. The book is to help advocate for dog adoption and rescue (#adoptdontshop). The book is going to be written for children ages 5-10 mainly and for pet adoption/rescue lovers!
As a dog lover and former journalist/teacher, I have a big heart to shift the current and future generations to become pet rescuers. My hopes is that one day the book that I write will become published and change even one child's heart to grow up and want to save a life by adopting!

This picture shows the Wall of 50 . These are 50 real adoption stories from all around the world that were compiled through the power of social media, Google forms, and the insane support of the adoption/rescue community around the world! It only took less than 2 weeks to gather these stories, and it blew me away. I wish to share these stories with the world and you!

I am in the process of writing the book and if you follow my timeline in the post here, the book will hopefully be published by Winter 2019! It typically takes about 4-6 months to get a book published after it has been accepted by a publishing house. We would need the funds by October 2019.
The goal of $7,000 is for the following:
- Publishing: $3400-$5,500
- Materials: $1,000 Printer and paper, notebooks, sketchbooks, illustration materials and other resources
- Other: $500-1000 Gifts to thank my contributors, social media campaigns, website funding, etc.
Your contributions and donations are extremely appreciated and any funds that are not used towards publishing the book and for what was mentioned above will be donated to a local dog shelter of your choosing.* I will give more details in the future, if this applies.
I also hope to be able to speak to schools and children around the country one day. And I want to write more books in the future. Dream big!
