BEAN BAG chairs for Autism unit

Greetings! My name is Christina and I am trying to along with my co-workers raise some money to buy 7 beanbag chairs or 8 if possible for the calm down corner. This classroom is part special ASD unit at an elementary school. We have been searching for ways to help the students stay seated during whole group instruction. Fidgets , pads you name it but we are all somewhat tight and wanted to appeal to the public for some help in order to purchase something we had seen is comfortable and enjoyable to the students. This classroom is special because the team and the special education teacher works tirelessly to meet the unique needs of each student and then some. Each student is very much loved here and treated with respect and compassion by the entire classroom team. Recently it was discovered that one of the bean bag chairs with back support that another teacher has is well received by the students and they enjoyed it so much that one student even found a blanket nearby and curled into it to enjoy the film playing on the screen. They have small standard chairs, but now that we understand that they prefer these for whole group instruction we believe it would be a wonderful tool to keep them seated and comfortable as they participate in their morning routines and whole group time. If you can help us reach our goal in any way it would be a blessing to these children and the teachers that care for them.
