- Guy is an amazing husband and father of three young boys. He has shown us the importance of; hard work, true kindness, fun, and to be adventurous. As the owner of Buddha Thai Bistro, the restaurant that he built 12 years ago from the ground up, the place that he loves almost as if it was his first child, has made Jax beach community a better place. He's given us somewhere to gather without judgment, to eat incredible food, to laugh together, to escape a rough day, to celebrate and support each other. To always be welcomed with a smile and positive vibe. He's also an amazing boss and friend who has never given up on anyone, he's always finds the best in people and cheers them up during the rough times.
On Father's day 2022, he had a tragic pool accident left him with a trauma brain and spinal cord injury. He fought so hard trying to come back to his family. After 74 days in an ICU and passed away on August 31st.
The world lost an incredible man, "one of the good ones" way too soon. But, he had shown those he encountered how to live life and how to see world in such a positive way. When we're facing any difficult moment, we will think about "What would Guy do?" and it helps guides us to the answer.
After Kelly Lindsey was kind enough to establish the Go Fund Me Account for Guy and our children. And you, our friends gave so generously. I know Guy would want to keep it going with a Go Fund Me benefiting the children cared for by Chiang Mai University, in Thailand.
Chiang Mai University provides both research and treatment of pediatric neurology cases. These children's family's are almost always without the financial ability to meet any such challenges.
Guy believed in paying it forward. He wanted to give to others from our need, not just from our excess.
So with your permission, a portion of your gifts to our children will be sent to the University to kick off the "Be Like Guy Fund." I hope you will be able to give us a hand, in his name. Thank you.
