BE BRAVE JEN!
Completely out of the blue our good friend Jen was diagnosed with an illness called Mylodysplastic Syndrome, with excess blasts -1. What this means is that left untreated she will develop leukemia. She is currently getting ready for a bone marrow transplant in October. She has already started a chemotherapy regimen and by the grace of God her sister is a “perfect match”, for her transplant.
She will have to live in Scottsdale for four months, where she will need a friend or family member 24 hours a day in addition to her medical team.
She will also need friends and family at her home to help take care of her 2 wonderful children while her husband is either working or with Jen.
As many of you know, the unknown costs, not covered by medical insurance can be astronomical. Many of you have asked how you can help. In addition to the calendar set up on the caringbridge.org website, should you be in the position to help financially. Any donation would be greatly appreciated. Any unused funds will be donated to Mylodysplastic Syndrome research.
