Please join us to raise money to buy the 41 children at the Aegio home their Christmas present this year. On November 5, 2017, from 12:30-2:15 pm, we will be having a fundraiser at XR CYCLE, 340 Wheatley Plaza, Greenvale, New York. Join us for cycling with Ernesto and/or yoga with Roula. Classes will be at 12:30 and 1:30 and your 100% of your $50 donation will go to buy the Christmas presents. Music, snacks, door prizes and a shopping event will complete our afternoon.
The Smile of the Child is a Greek child welfare organization. This organization provides permanent homes for many displaced children of all different ethnic and national backgrounds throughout Greece whose parents cannot take care of them. There are 12 Smile of the Child homes stationed all over Greece and each home contains approximately 40 children of varying ages and 3 care-taking adults. In addition, this organization provides relief to missing children, families in poverty, and children suffering from illness, as well as refugees who have been separated from their families. The children are only allowed to ask for a specific item once per year, for Christmas.
