Hi friends and family!!
Alex's 29th birthday is coming up on April 10th, and for his birthday this year, I want to do something really special... He sold one of his basses (one of his six-string metal basses) a while ago and has been wanting to do an upgrade: he's been wanting to get a multi-scale bass, particularly a bass made by a company called Dingwall out of Canada. These basses are top-notch, highest-quality, and he's had his eyes on them for a number of years now. Unfortunately they don't come cheap - the model he's been looking at runs at about $3500.00. So we had to say no to the dream bass, and haven't been able to put away the money toward getting it for these past few years.
So for his birthday this year, I'm asking you all to chip in a little bit to help me get Alex his dream bass. I'm able to put $1000.00 towards it, and am hoping to raise the remaining $2500.00 from you all, equaling $3500.00 towards the new bass. Since his birthday is on April 10th, I'm hoping to raise the $2500.00 for that day.
This would be such an incredible gift for Alex - he's been wanting to make this upgrade for about two years now, but we just haven't been able to put aside the money to do it. Multi-scale basses are becoming more and more widely used, and having one would benefit his playing and potential projects he'll be on in a lot of ways. Particularly I think he'll be using it to write his own album, which he's been dreaming of doing for a long time. I know that getting this bass would mean a whole lot to Alex, but I think it will mean even more to him to have all of you supporting him in this way.
So please pitch in what you can! If that's $5, $15, $25, whatever, every little bit will help! Let's make Alex's dream bass a REALITY BASS!!!
