Dady's Accident

Donation protected
Dady first came to the Dominican Republic seeking refuge after the 2010 devastating earthquake in Haiti.  It was here that he found the truth.  As an exemplary citizen he took on any job and saved every penny he could  so that as a legal resident he could fulfill his goal to become a pioneer.

Nothing has been easy for him, but his loving and friendly smile is always there...his generous heart and his willingness to help anyone in need, even with his limited means is contagious!! His amazing qualities  demonstrate his loyal love for Jehovah.

As a bible student Dady demonstrated a loving and self-sacrificing spirit, walking 45 mins each way just to attend congregation meetings, never missing any.

Shortly after his baptism he took on pioneering and has maintained his goal over the past eight years.  Along the way he has humbly accepted any job he could to support himself and continue to focus his time and energy on his pioneering. Dady has sacrificed making more money and stability, always opting to be self-less and give to Jehovah first, before thinking of himself.

Unfortunately, on Tuesday January 28, 2020 Dady was involved in a motor vehicle accident and is currently in the ICU awaiting surgery on his shattered pelvis.   At this time we're thinking of him and he needs our loving help...the funds will not only be used for his medical care, but we anticipate that he will need financial assistance until he is able to be fully independent as he was..

We chose not to use an image of Dady fighting for his life, but rather an image that represents who he is as a person; joyous, loving, and happy!! We hope you can help us with whatever you can.

Dave is Dady's closest friend, who attended to Dady's care right after the accident occurred and has been paying all meds and services out of pocket. Because Dady had no insurance, the funds are to be used to cover cost of medications, private hospital care and specialized ambulance transport. In the Dominican Republic, public hospitals have a high mortality rate for a patient in Dady's situation. So getting him to a better hospital and better meds are out of pocket expenses. We would have used a family member but the only family Dady has here in the Dominican Republic have no bank accounts and the rest are stuck in Haiti.
