Last night, the Junior Division All-Star Team from Clarendon Little League (representing Central Phoenix) won the District 3 championship in dramatic fashion, with a thrilling 6-5 come-from-behind victory over the Paradise Valley North All-Stars. As district champions, these 13- and 14-year olds will now be representing all of District 3 (which covers the Phoenix/Scottsdale area) in the Arizona State All-Star Tournament, being held in Kingman, Arizona beginning on Monday, July 14th. However, they need your help to get there.
Clarendon Little League is looking for donations to help sponsor the team on its trip to Kingman. The total cost of the trip, including transportation, lodging, and meals for the boys, is estimated to be $2,000 to $3,000. Your sponsorship donation in any amount will help pay for these costs as the team tries to keep their season alive.
Clarendon Little League began operating at Clarendon School (15th Avenue and Osborn Road) in 1952, which makes it one of the oldest youth baseball leagues in Arizona. It is an entirely volunteer organization. Every year, the League relies on parents to volunteer their time to fill the roles of Board Members, Coaches, Umpires, Groundskeepers, and Snack Bar cashiers to operate the League. This is the first time in last 20 years that a team from Clarendon Little League has won the District 3 tournament and qualified for State!
We appreciate your willingness to consider being a sponsor for the Junior All-Stars.
Sincerely,
Clarendon Little League
