University Major Project

This is my last year at University and as a third year Music Tech student, I have been assigned a major project. I have chosen to explore the mechanics, aesthetics and business aspects of speakers and amplifiers. I have already begun construction on a new line of speakers and amplifiers. These new speakers are being created totally from recycled parts, from speakers no one wants anymore to amplifiers that are totally broken. I'm using everything from radio components to cassette players, anything useful that can be recycled will be. I am also using this project to push the boundaries of what we put into speakers and how we use them. For example, one of the concepts I am working on is called adaptive sound, it can detect what type of music is being played and then adjust an EQ accordingly (bass and treble levels). However, most of the speakers that I find have gone through a lot of punishment, some of these at one point were some of the most high end speakers you could get on the market going for thousands if not tens of thousands of pounds. Being this old and not so well preserved they need a lot of TLC and often new shells. Unfortunately with the current crisis, parts and materials are priced at an all time high and with Rishi Sunak's message of funding being cut to the arts there is no chance of any financial help to try and recycle these speakers and possibly give them new life. So I turn to you to help make this project a working reality, so that I can push the boundaries of what we know about sound and how it is consumed. Ideally I would like to raise the funds within the next month so that I have time before the end of University to complete construction and put on an exhibit for potential investors in the future. I appreciate any help that can be given.
