Moving to join my son

As some of you may know, in June, Jennifer and Jefferson moved out to California. It was immediately my intention to join them. I simply cannot be an effective or joyful father bicoastally. However, finding a job in southern California while located in Atlanta has proved incredibly difficult. While I have received a lot of positive feedback, the location issue has proven thus far to be insurmountable. I have given it quite a bit of consideration, and though this feels almost awkward, I have decided to ask my friends for help. The money would go directly to getting my car in shape to drive (not to mention the gas needed to get there), the first month's rent and a deposit, and the small and various bills for one month of living. It is my firm belief that by then I will have found a job and will be settled. I appreciate any help you can offer.

This entire experience has proven to be incredibly humbling, and it is my goal to move out there by Thanksgiving. I appreciate all of the support I have received over the years, unfortunately I must ask for just a little more. Thank you so much.
