Car for Anti Trafficking Work
Donation protected
For the last 14 years I have been involved in combatting Human Trafficking and working with those involved in Prostitution full time with The Salvation Army in the UK and now in Italy.
Whilst in Rome I have had access to a vehicle for this work and that has been great. On April 1st, I will move to Florence to be responsible for The Salvation Army church and project there. Our hope is to commence a new outreach to victims in that city and beyond. For this I will need a vehicle.
The money will be used to purchase a car and also to pay for the initial costs, insurance etc.
As I am moving on April 1st (not a joke, I promise), the vehicle is needed within the near future.
This will also provide me with a means of being independent and having the option to commence ministry when we have a team ready to go.
Of course I am excited about the possibilities of what a car will mean to the ministry and the possibilities of reaching out to victims wherever they may be.
I don't find it easy but to ask but I know sometimes, I need to give people the opportunity to give and be a part of project.
I am hoping for a car with at least five seats and five doors. Not a brand new car but one that is a good size, along the lines of a XSara Picasso; Ford Fusion; Vauxhall (Opel) Meriva or even the Piaggio Porter minivan.
If you want to know more, then ask away.
