Battle of the Badges Middleton
On Saturday, August 12th, 2023 Middleton Police will join with Middleton Fire & EMS Departments to host the 11th Annual Battle of the Badges fundraiser. Each year, we come together to plan this community event consisting of a fun softball game between local police, fire and EMS members. This event is a fun, family-friendly event aimed at bringing the community together with their first responders to help a local family in need.
With the assistance of the local children’s hospital, school social workers and organization members, we chose a local child and family affected by childhood disease. The honoree chosen this year is 17-year-old Jesus Carranza Saldana, a Junior at Middleton High School.
On his 17th birthday, September 23, 2022, he abruptly collapsed and fainted while at home with Mom. He was taken to the hospital by ambulance and within 24 hours, he was diagnosed with high risk B-cell Leukemia. It came as a shock, as no one in their entire family have had a significant medical diagnosis. Jesus has been going strong with treatments and chemotherapy! He is doing well, in great spirits and supported by his family. Jesus loves to play soccer and spend time with family and friends.
Thank you for your support! We hope you can join us on August 12 at 10am for the big game! http://BattleOfTheBadgesMiddleton.com
