When Chris Battle saw a void in his community, he found a solution. He founded the Battlefield Farms & Garden in hopes of feeding his East Knoxville community the fresh produce that is simply not available to them.
Food Insecurity. What does it mean? It is the state of being without reliable access to a sufficient quantity of affordable, nutritious food.
Chris Battle has planted his heart and soul in the effort to feed people the food they so richly deserve to be fed. Simply put, Battlefield Farms & Garden feeds people care, love, and nutrition. Everyone deserves fresh food.
His goal is to fight food disparity and build a better community through food. Chris Battle has the heart for doing good work in his community.
His efforts have grown so much, he now needs a delivery truck to bring his beautiful fresh vegetables to the people of East Knoxville. Let's help him.
If you know Chris Battle, well...you just know. He's a guy who has literally gotten his hands dirty to feed a community...he's fed them with love and generosity. As many members of the community may not have the means or ability to get to his farm, he wants to bring the farm to them!
BY the numbers...how your generosity will impact the community:
- By helping to bring food to the people, the Battlefield Food Truck will carry approximately 1,800 pounds of food per trip.
- Each ride will feed 900 people.
- 100% of the donations will go toward buying a vehicle/bus to convert to a mobile market for East Knoxville.

Chris is a Cincinnati native. He graduate from Sycamore High School. He studied Pastoral Care at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and Studied at Morehouse College. Chris is currently the Lead Pastor at The Underground Collective and founder
